Trends that Need to Stay Dead

Although the fashion industry is a very expressed and abstract runway, not all of these trends should be staying in the public eyes. From baggy, thigh high UGGS to replacing sneakers with crocs, here are trends that need to leave as quick as they came.
Clear Plastic Pants

In the year of 2017, Topshop, a well known and popular clothing store, released a new product known as plastic pants. A craze took over YouTube as youtubers tried the new trend. None of them had positive reviews for it which was no surprise since it was an insulator for heat. Each who tried it expressed how hot they were and how much noise it made when they walked around in public with it on. I believe it is safe to say that Topshop set this whole scenario up in order to become more popular. It worked quite well because that became one of the highlight moments in trends online in 2017.
Even if these were wearable and no one could sweat in them, what is the point of wearing clear pants if you have to wear something under them such as leggings or jeans? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?
Crocs

In 2017, people tried to make crocs a trend again; in 2017 those people were wrong. Crocs were never fashionable and the only accepted place to wear them was the pool or a water park, and you might even get side looks there. Although kids can pull them off and look quite cute in them, adults and teenagers cannot do the same.
Buzzfeed tried to revive the croc movement, but the crocs destroyed the outfits. This trend is dead and needs to be left in 2017.
Jeans to Rags

When Levy paired up with a French Company to make jeans for over a thousand dollars with any denim barely there, people began to question the sanity of the generations. Jeans were already over priced and expensive as they are. Now that they are becoming even more expensive and less fabric is becoming a problem. Jeans that have a hole or two are fine and trendy. It is when there is no fabric there or the jeans look like they just went through a shredder is when you have to put your foot down.
Muddy Jeans

Women will not think your a tough guy or attractive if you have mud all over your jeans. She will probably laugh if she finds out the mud is fake. Faking masculinity is not the way to go. It is 2018, it is about what is inside and not outside! Besides, having mud or the appearance of mud all over your jeans is not fashionable.
Thigh High UGGS

Just days ago, UGGS released thigh high UGGS on the runway. Although I love UGGS, I don't think the bagginess and how fat they are very cute. It would seem like a drag walking in them because of how big they are. The only positive thing I have to say about this is that it will surely keep you warm. I would love to see people take these boots as a fashion challenge and make it fashionable!
These are my opinions. Fashion is about expressing yourself and being a fashion designer of the modern day is about making and setting the trends instead of following them. Although I may not wear them myself, I have respect to those who wear it as though they have respect for my future fashion trends.
